A Mother’s Blessing Ceremony is an intimate ceremony and celebration where the mother-to-be gathers with her closest circle of women (family and friends) to honour and celebrate her rite of passage which is becoming a mother.
The intention of a Mamma Blessing is to support and prepare the expectant mother for her upcoming birth and role as a mother, physically, mentally and emotionally. It is inspired by the traditions of an ancient Navajo ceremony called a Blessing Way.
Traditional baby showers tend to centre around showering the baby with gifts. A Mama Blessing ceremony offers the opportunity to come together in a spiritual setting and share in a sacred time of reflection, support and celebration that is focused on the mother-to-be.
It’s all about nurturing and empowering the mother-to-be in a safe environment surrounded by the most important women in her life, a very powerful and healing experience for each of the participants.

I offer personalised ceremonies which will be tailored to embrace the uniqueness of the expected mother and honour the divine feminine.
I facilitate a grounded, safe space for you to release any fears or doubts you may have and to receive support and blessings from your tribe. You’ll be adorned, pampered, honoured and lavished with love.
This intimate, sacred ritual is a beautiful way to honour your rite of passage into motherhood (whether it’s the first or third time). Every woman deserves to be held by her tribe during this time! It’s an experience that will leave you feeling empowered, and deeply supported.
You, Mama, will have your belly adorned with a sacred mandala imbued with intentions for you and your baby.
We’ll open the circle with a grounding meditation, the women in the circle will tell stories of motherhood, offer blessings for your birth, and hold space for you to clear any doubts, listening with presence and kindness. We will honour and empower you in creative and fun ways. We’ll close the circle with a mug of heart-opening organic tea. Then, feast!

Mamma Blessing ceremonies by Kumali are offered on the Central Coast in Suburbs such as Copacabana, Terrigal, Avoca, Umina, Terrigal, Kincumber, Ettalong, Gosford, Bateau Bay, The Entrance, Long Jetty etc; and in the Sydney Region (for some locations travel fee apply).
